A Contractor’s story

In 2021, The Cord Group friend’s office renovation was delayed. He discovered a key sub-contractor was out for weeks due to his wife’s recent cancer diagnosis and her severe side effects of chemotherapy.​

We learned they had 5 children at home, no health insurance, and little help on logistics with the kids. The Cord Group has been walking with this family by assisting with outstanding bills, covering some healthcare costs, and helping the very talented contractor secure jobs that support his need for flexibility.​

The couple has also been ‘adopted’ by a women’s small group and men’s Bible study group, providing additional physical, spiritual, and psychological support.
