OUR

MISSION

The Cord Group is a nonprofit, tax-exempt ministry that seeks to reflect the love of Jesus Christ through providing timely support in the form of helpful resources to the financially or otherwise disadvantaged people of our community and beyond. This support is either made directly to those experiencing disruptive life crises or through organizations that the corporation identifies and that share this mission.

Our guiding

PRINCIPLES

  • All our resources are our Lord’s and entrusted to us as stewards.

  • God brings people, organizations, and situations into our lives in His timing and within his plan.  Sometimes we may be uncomfortable with the timing, but we trust His plan.

  • The majority of our giving is relationship based.  We feel God has given us certain assignments that He has not given to others.

  • We have an abundance mentality, not one of scarcity.  If the Lord presents an opportunity for us to serve, we answer affirmatively and leave provision to Him. As a result, we do not set limits on giving, we simply try to answer when He calls.

  • God has given our group many gifts equipping us to start, grow and maintain this ministry, and we use them to help others and to find resources.

WHoM we serve

The Cord Group seeks to attract and manage resources, of every kind, including human talent and funding. The corporation organizes, administers, and distributes these resources to impact needy individuals and families connected to our community, and communities where ‘the least of these’ live, work and worship.

The Cord Group is active in environments where the following circumstances can be identified:

1

The poor, disabled, disadvantaged, sick, infirm, and underserved.

2

Fellow servants who share our commitment to help these individuals and who, themselves, need practical and timely support in doing so.

3

People enduring desperate life crisis situations without the resources needed to survive and thrive.

4

Children and adolescents in need of love, support, supervision, education and discipline.

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
